I just seen the commercial on tv during The Voice and it says 10gb for 80 a month.

When I saw the commercial, I said what a great deal that was, 20gb for $80.00, since I pay $100 for 15gb with at&t.

It has to be an error. They would show this deal when selecting data for the more everything plan.

Ismach tell it you want full site and go to select the plan. I almost bet it'll show what mine shows below.

I'm more than sure it's an error since Verizon would be blowing up the airwaves with a deal as good as that.

Exactly. I went to sign up and it showed $80 for 10 GB.

Mdg 's screen shot looks legit when you read the fine print. It looks like it is targeted towards switchers given the temporary nature of the extra 10GB and the higher than normal trade in credit.

I think I got to the bottom of this as it looks like Verizon is testing a special promotion in most of Texas and northwestern Louisiana. See Report: Verizon is testing several regional promotions - FierceWireless where they claim that Verizon is offering 10 GB of bonus data to customers who choose a data plan with 10 GB or more.

I am still holding onto two UDPs on mine and my wife's line but would consider giving them up at this promo price. We don't use more than 10GBs combined and my wife gets a 23% discount through her work. I could move my kids to a smartphone and save close to $50/month.

I wonder if there is a way to get the deal outside of the promo area!
