Why is there an icon when I plug in headphones?

Lol I know. A simple sound to let you know it's connected would have been sufficient.

I wish OEM would allow for a customizable icon selection. The battery is a great example. Killing the AM and PM would save some space too.
However, to answer your question, it is kind of nice that its there in case the OS has an error thinking your headphones are plugged in.
