Anyone else use iCloud?

I've been using an Android device now for about a year and a half, but I came from an iPhone and as such I've had a .mac, (mobileme, iCloud) account since 2007. In the time I've been using Android devices I've just kept my .Mac account along with my Gmail account. Everything has worked perfectly as far as getting emails from the .Mac account until I switched to my GN. Now maybe 5-10 times a day I get a notification that iCloud sign in has failed. First off do any of you guys or gals use iCloud? Have you had this kind of problem?

I too have iCloud but haven't experienced the same issues. That said, I have a work email account that has been doing the same thing you describe. Not sure what is causing it. Looking forward to see if someone knows the answer to this.

I am very interested in this thread, I just got the gnex, and have a macbookpro. I was wondering is all would come together. I'll have to try, and I'll be checking to see how you all make out.

I forgot to mention that we use Macs as well. So I sync my GN with my MacBook Pro or my iMac. Maybe it has something to do with that, who knows?

How exactly do you sync your GNex to a Mac. I'm still relatively new to Android but I was under the impression that you couldn't natively sync an Android device in the same manner as an iOS device. That said, any issue with getting the can't log in message with your icloud account lies somewhere in a setting on the phone.

You can't "sync" an Android phone to any computer, Mac or otherwise (other than 3rd party apps that sync contacts/media or something).

Everything syncs with Google wirelessly. If you want to take files on/off the device you can hook it up to a computer manually and do that. That's about it.

OP is talking about using an iCloud account that's tied to his email for reading email on the Android device. You won't get any more functionality than that out of it.

I use iCloud because I came from an iPhone 4 and 4S. I mainly only use it now for a "back up" but once my year is done I will probably stop the subscription since Google Music is free. I had the error message once the other day on my computer (Windows 7 PC) and haven't had the issue since, all I did was sign out and sign back in. I had a weird problem the other day though, which may be a little related...

I was downloading a couple songs from iTunes and I have the Google Music app set up on my PC to automatically add new songs from iTunes to my Google Music account. When I downloaded the new songs, they never showed up in iTunes for about an hour and then took another hour for Google Music to find them on my PC. I think it was a problem with iCloud since it shows I purchased them and they where in my "Purchased Items" list on iTunes playlists but not in the actual media directory.

I use SyncMate Plus, available in the app store, to sync my music and my photos. My calendar and contacts are synced via my Google account and bookmarks are synced via Chrome as I now use the Chrome Beta for my GN. Sorry for the confusion. :) I'm seriously thinking when my subscription is over in June of not renewing the iCloud thing and just go all Google. We will see.
