I just got it because I figured I can buy it at Bestbuy .. try it .. take it back if I hate it.

I just got it and I like the feel of the case .. feels very sturdy but MAN those buttons you have to practically punch. I mean don't get me wrong it isn't super insane but its way harder than a little button press should be.

Is this just me or is everyone gettin that?

Same here, not a big deal to me. The phone feels so sturdy now, thats what I was looking for in a case. Didnt want to worry about a little bang or drop damaging the phone and it feels like a tank now lol.

How long have you had it? Does it eventually "wear in" i guess?

Had the case a week but just got the phone yesterday lol. For me the volume buttons are much easier than power.

Hmmm, I like the sound of that because I'm constantly hitting either the volume or power buttons by accident just by holding the thing. I'm used to my power button on top and volume button on the side but near the top, on my DX. I'll have to check it out.

Thank God, I thought I had a lemon (phone or case). The poower button is very difficult sometimes to press. Volume rocker not so bad. Whew, I feel better now. Thought maybe I damaged the power button when I was putting the case on, it's a tight fit. Solid protection thought, very happy with it. And it fits in a belt pouch I bought the other day from an ATT store.

I have had mine for a few days and at the beginning it felt stiff as well. Its starting to break in though. Thickness is barely thicker. I would highly recommend it for sure.

Got the Otterbox Commuter in black for my wife's Pebble Blue SGS3. The case is pretty solid. It adds a little bulk to the phone but, it's not too bad. The screen protector isn't all that great but it'll do for now. As for the buttons, they are a bit stiff. I guess it will take a little while to break them in. Waiting on the Glacier Commuter that I ordered from Amazon earlier this month to go with my white SGS3.

I just got mine from Best Buy last night. Having had the Defender on my tablet and having heard about this case, I was not surprised. I did spend some time messing the power and volume rocker to get the interior case contacts to snap around each button. Finding the sweet spot and the amount of pressure to lock and turn off the phone will take some getting used to. Accidental presses are definitely not an issue although the bottom lip takes up a bit of screen real estate but nothing major. I got the case because I wanted a case since I was pushing my luck going commando for three weeks waiting for my Defender that I ordered on Amazon on June 18th.

Does anyone have any idea when the Defender series will come out? I like the belt clip/holster....otherwise I have a tendency to leave my phone on countertops or tables when I'm out. That's how I lost my S2. And as great as this S3 is...what the heck is up with Gameloft? I've got 30 games I can't play 'cause they haven't updated them for the S3!!! Now I'm stuck playing Mass Effect when I really wanna play NOVA 3!!! (DIfferent topic, I know, but just had to add my $.02...yahoo know?)

Thanks for any info

After reading the reviews on amazon.com for this case and seeing everyone complain about that, I decided not to buy the Otterbox case. I went with a CrazyOnDigital case that will be delivered on Monday. We'll see how that works out...

The only thing I do not like about the OB commuter is the plastic on the back side. It makes the phone slick enough to still slide around on most surfaces. I will probably be getting another case here in the near future with a more rubberized finish to fix this.

It practically doubles the thickness... and makes it so slippery that you need a Banzai case.

I should have mine from Amazon this weekend. I am not a fan of the plastic back but want the protection. I had the Defender for my GNEX and hated the bulk and that god awful screen protector that came with it. I also have a Cruzerlite Androidified on the way for a backup as I love the one on my GNEX that I switched to after the Defender.

I went with the Incipio Silicrylic Case and love it. It didn't add as much bulk as I expected and phone is still really slim.

I'm waiting on the defender series from Amazon (back order). Ordered on the July 9th and will ship on Aug 4th. Of course looking for another source. I am using a cheaper casem in the meantime that is holding its own andworks simular (2 piece snap together and outer rubberized cover) to Otterbox.
Amazon.com: Rugged Dual Layer Impact-Absorbing Case With Built-In Kickstand for Verizon , Sprint , AT&T , and T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III / SIII / S3 / S 3 / i9500 ** Includes Accessory Genie Drawstring Bag! **: Cell Phones & Accessories
I really like it an it even has a kick stand. I got a black one and a white one under $7 each. All the buttons are easy to access and there is a cover flap for the charger and audio ports. Really considering canceling the otterbox.

I received my Otterbox Commuter today. First impression was "holy , this thing is a monster now and nothing can harm it." After using it for a few hours, I realized the back is very slippery. Also it doesn't really fit in my holster anymore (heightwise, that is, the magnetic flap is too short with the Otterbox on and it hardly closes). If it had some grips on the sides it would be great. I'm considering returning it because I feel like they want you to drop it to prove it works, lol.

Does anyone know a holster that will definitely work with it?

I'm currently using this and I love the grips, it just doesn't offer much protection.
