How many people got there phone when it first came out and had to return it? Also on your second gnex did you still have the same problems?

I had a rattle in the phone when it wad held at specifc angles while vibrating and it drove me nuts. Exchanged and i am really happy.

I exchanged my first one as it got stuck in a boot loop, and the replacement phone has been great. First phone had some signal issues, this phone has been perfect. Solid signal at all times. So there definitely was a difference.

My first GNEX was great until I cracked the screen. The second GNEX has been equally great. It was an insurance replacement but since the GNEX is brand new, I got a brand new replacement.

WINNING!

My second phone has been much better than the first. Solid signal, seamless 3g/4g hand-offs and no random reboots. I will say that my first one was much better after flashing the stock 4.0.2 ROM, it took care of the the signal issues, but it still rebooted a couple of times.

I had to have my first replaced because it changed WiFi MAC addresses every time it was rebooted. The second one has been fine with that problem and seems to have much better battery life.

Ben

screen became unsresponsive to any type of finger gestures etc.
Had to get it swapped out. Slightly less battery life (it's using the same extended battery)
Charger doesn't get as hot anymore as in the past (still have original charger)

Add:
drops a few calls but it's only in a few spots and then it comes back on whereas the first one I had to shut down and power up to get signal again.

Yes, the first phone the screen colors were off a bit and white appeared grey-ish in low brightness. Also at night you could see a dark black line going across the screen in a black background. Since I exchanged the phone not only is the screen 100% better (whites are white, and very clear) the battery life seems to be better too.

My first GN wouldnt charge. My second GN had a stuck pixel. My third GN has no issues...except for the common lack of reception.

Got mine on release day. After about a week I started to notice a faint "shadow" on the display (an area of slightly dimmer pixels). It was very subtle and only noticeable when I was scrolling text on a white background.

I was actually hesitant to exchange it. The problem was so subtle, I could have lived with it, and a new phone might well have something worse wrong with it. But I did take it back, and thankfully, the replacement is flawless.

1st was dropping calls and network on a daily basis. 2nd is new phone with new sim and I haven't updated to 4.0.2. So far no issues and my 2nd does not get as hot while running as my first. Who knows why but I finally have what I was expecting from the get go!

Can't help but read through this and laugh seeing just how many different issues there have been! I was expecting everyone to have the same one or two problems, buy almost every single post was a different problem!

I'm on my second device too. My speaker simply refused to play media...from the music app, a podcast through the browser, youtube, nothing. But oddly, it worked fine when I tested ringtones in settings=/
