Hey everyone. I recently learned about how to turn off the sensors via the developer options. This works well with the camera and whatsapp calls. Not however for regular phone calls. The callee can still hear my voice. Is this working as intended or should phone calls also be "muted"? Phone is a Google Pixel 3.

Hi,

It does not reliably disable the microphone for all system-level functions, especially phone calls.
Why calls still work

The phone app has higher priority access to the mic, and Android allows it to bypass certain developer restrictions so basic functions (like emergency calls) aren’t broken.

It's mainly there for testing in developer settings but you can use for certain things.
