Anyone experience calendar issues with the Replenish?

Did any Replenish users notice that the Samsung calendar defaults all new events to "my calendar", rather than the default calendar saved at Google/calendar? For example, if my default Google calendar online is "Dhalgren," my replenish fails to sync to it by default. Instead, it places all new events created on the phone into "My Calendar" which does not exist in my Google account. This of course broke the sync between my Google account and my phone - a split in my events, which caused me to miss event reminders from multiple devices.

It took me a while to discover this bug and it has been very time consuming going back to events created on the phone and changing the calendar from the Samsung default to my Google account default.

Has anyone also encountered this and has anyone found a solution? It certainly seems like a calendar bug by Samsung. I've seen the default Google Calendar app in action and it stays within the calendars as saved in the user account.

Thanks!

From the calendar home screen push the menu button, then touch settings, then Default calendar and change it to the proper calendar.

I just did that to change my default... thanks for the warning!!!!

Yes - did that several times, but the Samsung calendar continues to put new events into "My Calendar." Very frustrating. I would never root a phone to replace the calendar, but a call to Android Doctors (aka Drew Walton) might be necessary if my next step doesn't work. My next step is to clear all calendar data and re-sync with Google.

I had the same issue after I tried setting the default. I posted the suggestion before I realized that it didn't work for me,,, Definitely a bug.

However, if you go into "Calendars" and deselect everything except your Google calendar it then allows and maintains a default to the appropriate Google calendar... This is good as long as you don't need any other calendars. (I don't need any).

Thanks, Little Darwin! Yeah, with me, I have my own Google calendar, I view someone else's, and I use the Calendar app to sync with my corporate Exchange account. So the bug is pretty unshakable given those settings. The only viable workarounds I currently have are to create new events on the web, or create a new event on the phone, save it, and then edit it, changing the calandar from "My Calandar" to my default Google calendar.

Interesting to see if the Galaxy S has this same calendar app. Samsung owes us at least another update to fix a bug like this.

I also suppose if I dropped syncing with Exchange, that might help. But I willcontinue to troubleshoot further before I give that up. I prefer to see my personal and work clanendars in the same app.

I have the same problem. At one time, I got it to keep my "gmail" calendar as default but as soon as some update was pushed to my phone, it reverted back to "my calendar". Definitely a bug IMHO.:-\

EDIT: I've recently rooted with Phoenix 0.2 and the problem seems to have gone away. I don't know if it was a Froyo-based issue or a coincidence. Prior to this I was rooted with LeafROM (I switched when I had to replace my faulty phone and decided on Phoenix because Leaf was no longer in development)

I still have this issue. Has anyone found a solution? I'm impressed overall with the phone, but this is a real dealbreaker.
