Are you happy?

How's does battery life compare?
Do you miss larger screen?
What sticks out the most as an improvement?

Are you happy?

Yes, got rid of my Note 2 for the S4 and I'm very happy.

The battery life seems just as good as the Note 2, if not a little better.

Do you miss larger screen?

No, nor do I miss the larger body.

What sticks out the most as an improvement?

The S4 screen is just plain beautiful.

The only thing I miss is the battery life. My Note2 did much better with battery.

There is no need to be snarky or call names, he was just trying to be helpful. Had his response been posted in any other manner, perhaps it would be different, but its not. The link he posted is a seasoned link with lots of helpful information. The OP would be wise to look it over.

I currently have a Note 2 and have had the International Note, ATT Note and ATT Note 2. First let me start by saying that I think the Note 2 is among the best devices available currently. Also I have the 32 GB model of the S4 and it is pretty sweet. I got it on contract but do not think it would be worth it to upgrade over the Note 2 if you are paying no commitment pricing.

S4 Pros
-5 inch 1080p screen is really the sweet spot! It is large enough for many of the things we want a larger screen for but in a very nice package which is not larger than the S3 or Nexus 4. The screen is very nice but I was honestly expecting more of a jump from the Note 2. Not a slam on the S4 but that is how nice the Note 2 screen is.

- Battery life for my usage is better than the S3 or Nexus 4. Of course it is nowhere near the Note 2. I get a good 12+ hours with moderate use on the S4.

- Camera is better on the S4. Stills and video are superb and flawless! This is the phone camera we have been waiting for.

If the Note 2 is a bit larger than you want and the spen is not critical for your usage, the S4, is great device and does very well in filling that spot.

Note 2 Pros

- Larger screen which really holds it's own against the S4

- S pen and the suite of products that use it

- Monster battery life! I do not think I have ever seen my Note 2 battery below 30%.

- Smooth and speedy. The UI is very smooth and easily is as smooth and as speedy as the S4 UI.

- of course all of this comes at the cost of a physically larger device which can cause issues in carrying it in your pocket or on a holster or purse.

Overall I think the Note 2 stacks up very well against the S4. WIth the s pen etc, it is in a class by itself. I think the S4 is the sweet spot for screen size and physical size. Both are great devices and if you can get the S4 on contract it is worth it. If paying cash I would hold and wait until the Note 3 comes because the Note 2 still is amazing!

I made the switch because the size of note 2 was just way too big for me plus I found S-Pen to be useless for me. In all honesty I miss the Note 2 but only bc of the battery life. I charge twice a day typically for my S4 while one charge per day for the Note 2 would suffice. But I chose a phone with replaceable battery for a reason, later on I will get a bigger sized battery if it truly bothers me that much.

Other than that I find S4 to be a great phone. I find that having the S-Calendar widget to be very convenient. Not sure why the Note 2 doesnt have it.

Yes, for now because I know I will sell it and upgrade to Note 3 when it comes out.

Battery Life can't compare.

Not really, 4.7"-5.5" works. I miss the S-Pen more.

Build Quality. It doesn't feel cheap.

Does anyone have a sense of humor here?

We actually have a great sense of humor here, but not at the expense of our members. If you have any other concerns pertaining to my warning, please, PM me.

Yes really. As a Moderator she didn't cross any lines, and was well within "standard procedure" posting that. It could have been worse for you. Normally, I would PM you about something like this, but since you don't believe in PM's I'm posting it here. Stop ignoring the warnings of a Mod. If you don't, further action will be taken. We don't like doing that, but how many warnings do you really want?

PM me with questions.

67srbell,

You could probably take a look at that other thread I linked.
I didn't get derailed like this thread.
