Anyone from the UK recently got a s24 ultra?

Hi, I ask specifically for someone from the UK because one of the moderators here is from the US and doesn't experience the problem I'm gonna describe below, but my friend and I both in the UK are.

I am having this very annoying problem. When my screen is off and I press the button on the headphones I don't hear the bell noise anymore. Now the screen turns on and a pop up window appears at the bottom with the Assistant (see the pic attached). This is quiet inconvenient as I always use the Google assistant when walking, or at the gym and I don't want the screen turning on. I've literally tried everything (Samsung customer expert spent like 2 hours remotely trying to fix this without luck) and Mustang (the moderator on here) also went out of his way to help me. Same thing happens on my friends s24 ultra (we are in the UK) but on my old A72 I could use it without problems. Also results with this new pop up window are not great, if I say play this or call mum it will look it up online. Yes, screen lock results are on. Anyone can tell me what happens on ur s24 ultra when ur screen is off and you try to use Google assistant with ur headphones? Thanks a lot.

@Laura Knotek @mustang7757 thank you both for trying to help, I dont know why it is so hard for someone to reply :/ I've tried on Samsung communities as well, on discord Samsung channel and nothing. It's not like I'm asking people to install a ROM

Unfortunately, most members of Android Central are from North America. I tried reaching out to a member from the UK, but they haven't been active for a while.

Personally, I can't help because I'm from the USA.

Is your Google assistant on? If it is, it's because you need to disable bixby. I'm sure if you press with the screen on it asks u whether you want to use bixby or Google

I have Google Assistant on, and I don't get any pop-ups about Bixby.

Is Google assistant set as her default assistant (there's bixby etc)? And lock screen results on?

If they are, can u let me know what happens when she taps the headphones on lock screen to talk to the assistant? Thank you so much

She doesn't use Google when playing her music through her buds. . I tried using her stuff and replicating what you ask. Alas the music just paused and nothing else. Sorry.
