Anyone get 8.0 yet? Thoughts?

For the record, at some point over the last few days my wife apparently downloaded the 8.0 update. she hasn't said anything about it, which I take to mean there's been no obvious problems

Feb 10 finally got the 8.0 with Jan security patch update. So it looks like its finally rolling out here in the US.

I'm wondering if the Prime Exclusive edition will ever get 8.0. Can't find any info about it on the web.

I did apparently get the "update" that removes the lock screen adds though I say apparently because I didn't see any update getting installed, the ads are just gone.

8.0 update notification arrived earlier today -- -- regular unlocked X4 on Verizon.

Just got the notice on Unlocked version. Feb 12. \Installation took a while but seems to have gone well. The phone seems faster. Eager to see battery life. December security patch level, so still 2-3 months behind

Update on the update: Just received the 8.0.0 update on my Prime Exclusive edition, so that's apparently rolling out now.

Bought the Amazon edition on a small sale. Android 8.0 seems to be pretty snappy, though admittedly I don't have a lot to compare it to. Fingerprint reader has been fine so far and the camera seems to respond pretty well. I'm assuming that's the Motorola camera app, but can't really say for sure. Had one small system update after powering on and of course, the app updates, but system space used was something like 11GB so that's a small improvement over the initial reports.

Only gripe so far is that setting up a second user won't let that second user access the SD card. I'd like to have that set up so pictures and such go on the larger card instead of on the device. I don't necessarily plan to keep it that way, but it would be nice to have.

Animated gifs don't seem to work. They used to work in 7.0. the one below (long story) worked fine in 7 but not in 8. Not in gallery and Textra or Tapatalk or Piktures.
