They forgot to add the tethering to my plan, and the laptop dock works over wifi.

I currently own a 3GS.. I've been eye'n this phone up for some time now.. 'all my friends have droids'.. I need the flexibility (OF NOT USING ITUNES) and whatnot..

Id really like to see boxee ported to the droid since its on the iPhone now. Fun note that the original processor for the boxee box is the Tegra 2. I'm sure this phone would have no trouble playing most xvids. - Has anyone tested this?

How well does remote desktop work on the tablet dock? (thinking work / vpn here)
I'm on the fence about getting the tablet.

I ordered mine yesterday (Sunday) got it for 218 on contract even though I signed a new contract in September for the iPhone 4. It's expected to be delivered by 3 tomorrow. Looks like I'll skip class tomorrow and play the waiting game.

Edit: this will be my first android phone. Hope I made a good choice.

I can't wait to get this phone i've had an iphone 3G for almost two years and i had an iPhone 4 for about a month until it was stolen but this will be my first android phone and im only 13

I didn't pre-order, but I called a corporate store, explained that I had a trip coming this week and asked if I could buy today. They agreed and I went in a picked one up. Overall very nice but have been running into issues with video calling. So far, Fring, Yahoo and Tango all don't work with the front facing camera. I'm sure they just need to update the apps.

I've been tinkering with mine all day, this is my first android phone and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever had! My only complaint is that AT&T has it locked down, but once I get more comfortable with it I plan to root it. Anyone have any advice or a guide on how to root the phone, and enable tethering and hot spot? I refuse to pay the extra fees for those features, my unlimited data plan is expensive enough!
