Anyone get the May Security update OTA?

Installing now. I generally get Nexus 9 early in the month followed shortly by Nexus 7 and then the 6P gets it like Racedog indicated, toward the end of the second week of the month.

Same thing for me. I would think they'd send it to the newer devices first.

No, you want them to send it evenly distributed to all devices in phases so that if there's an issue with the update on any one device they can fix it.

I flashed it on my 6P the day it came out. I'm rooted and running the Franco kernel, but on the stock rom with a few Xposed modules. It works great, and battery life seems to be improved... except when Google Play Services decides to go nuts. It doesn't happen all the time, but every couple of days or so the active bar on the battery graph will become solid and my battery life will degrade until I go to the Google Play Services app and force stop it. Kinda annoying. Even worse, according to my various battery and wakelock apps the worst offender is always the Google app or some other system app/process, which can't be uninstalled or greenified.

It's not that big of an issue, but it's annoying to have to go and manually force close Google Play Services every couple of days. However, battery is much improved when that doesn't happen.

I received a system update last night. Installed it, did the wipe cache partition thing and the battery life is much better! Just like it was when it was new!!

Has the Wifi bug been fixed where it never turns off?

we get it in the middle of the month about every 30 days. what is it you're so anxious to receive? cause I haven't really noticed anything significant from update to update.

if I grab the HTC 10 (still debating BT that or waiting for this year's Nexus) I might install the N preview.

when we get N and most others in April 2017 still have no update on their $700 phone, I'll be happy.

got mine 4 days ago.

No not yet which is a bit disappointing since I received the April one practically a few days after being released but I have gotten the previous updates around this time of the month [middle] so hopefully soon. And if it doesn't I can flash it

Nothing here yet but I'm not in a rush. It will get here when it does.

It's just a security update. It won't impact your battery life at all...

I think you're right, but what's odd is that it did say system update instead of security update like it normally indicates. It also didn't require WIFI like it normally does?!

The Android system though still indicates 6.0.1. Regardless, the battery really is performing better and I always do a wipe cache partition after each security update.
