Anyone getting a watch to go with their Note 8

I'm thinking of getting the s3 frontier LTE. I've never worn watches, but I think I could get used to a smart watch.

Definitely LTE. Over time I've found that I answer 80% of my calls with my watch. Particularly when I'm running errands and phone is at home.

Unfortunately that's what I got, but mine on T-Mobile DIGITS won't make or receive calls when not connected to my phone. Hopefully T-Mobile will get it sorted out soon.

If you had ever set the Samsung Gear app on the phone to forward calls to the watch that will prevent making calls on the primary DiIGITS line number. The fix is to uninstall reinstall the app. Have you verified the digits part was setup correctly? Do you see that from your login account?

In this day and age with technology and the way it advances I don't know how anyone could commit to a product for a two year contract ^^^

As I learned the hard way the Verizon S3 Frontier LTE cannot be purchased through monthly payments. Left the store thinking this was the case until it showed up on my next bill. Had quite a discussion with Verizon sales rep.

For those of you with the S3 I use a app on my phone called coustom ringtones and if I remember correctly its also installed in the gear app , but what it does is let me put any ringtone on my watch ,and for me my phone ringtone matches my watch so they sound the same.
However I usly keep the phone ringtone turned down most of the way or it's a bit much.

Do you have to pay additional fee to your carrier (if LTE version)?

Saw the s3 classic att LTE version on ebay for 220 ad tempting because it looks good. Not sure how useful or what to use it for because I have a fit2

We are under a contract for the watches but I honestly don't mind at all. Mostly because we're not going anywhere since we just switched to them from Verizon lol & I don't see myself wanting to upgrade to another smart watch anytime soon. Plus that deal, was too good to pass up! The only thing I would never want to be stuck with for over 1 yr would be a phone
