Anyone getting a watch to go with their Note 8

Just went to local store & ordered my wife's Note 8. The store gave me $100 off the Gear S3 Frontier instead of $50 like the Verizon online rep told me. Now I gotta wait for this watch to charge fully before I get to play with it....I hate waiting!!!! lol

Nice discount, tip go into settings security ,screen lock , scroll down to usage and set to payments.
This way the only time you need to use a pin on the watch is for payments.
Other wise will drive you crazy unlocking your watch.

Yeah but what if she steals your phone (common experience in my home)? You can use the "Quick Settings" app to lock up your phone when this happens.

when activating my S3 Frontier, it says "Cannot be activated now" and gives me Verizon tech service tel #. I could make calls with my phone on & connected to Bluetooth, but not standalone. Samsung support even told me that it IS the LTE version.

After an hour working with the Verizon tech support & resetting the watch, Verizon says that the watch is defective & to return it for another one. Anyone have any issues like this?

Not sure mine is only a Bluetooth , don't get disappointed it's a great watch

I also have the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE and never really use the LTE features because I always have my phone with me. The LTE also kills the battery. I guess it would come in handy if you lose your phone and still be able to make a phone call with the watch but IMO, it's not worth the extra monthly payment.

just bought gear s3 (verizon LTE version) on bestbuy.com + separate Samsung rubber watch band (black color) - the one that comes standard on the frontier....the classic looks sick AF with the rubber strap from the frontier.....fyi....best smartwatch ever -

using with lg g6 currently - no compatibility issues ---must intsall android wear app as well as samsung gear app as well as samsung gear plug in <----this app is the key to full compatibility....

EXACT same thing going on with mine. I was wondering if some moisture had gotten into the charging port because it doesn't show charging anymore. Idk much about the fit watches, so that one is perfect for me. Easy to use. I'd consider getting another one. That one was my N7 gift.

I am having battery life trouble...won't last all day on a charge anymore. May consider Gear Fit 3.

My gear fit 2 will vib when i get to far away from my phone. It connects to the phone through blue tooth so when it losses that it will vib.
