Anyone go from a Storm2 to a Droid X?

Like others have been saying, I liked my Storm when I had it. I had Storm 1. Wanted Storm 2 until Droid came along. Really, I can do everything and more with the DroidX, and it has a bigger screen, and I don't have to touch and press, and etc etc. Really just do it. DroidX is the best phone I've ever had and will have for awhile.

Yes, I finally said Adios to Blackberry when the Droid X came out and I don't regret the decision. The Blackberry Storm 2 was an improvement over the Storm 1 but not enough innovation to keep my interest. The native browser was too slow and BB World App store was weak. Droid X is just so exciting and I love Android OS and Market. Learn something new everyday. And the browser is fast even when on 3g. Because it is my personal phone I don't really miss or need the push email (although it is an option on Droid X).

DX blows the Storm 2 away, no question. Speed of the browser and apps alone make it worth the switch. Keyboard takes alittle getting used to but once you have that down it is a no brainer. I do miss suretype though, I was very quick with that. Really the only thing I miss.

+1

Also, the battery life on the S2 was better.

I only have 2 complaints about the Droidx, coming from a Storm2 -Storm1-Curve-Pearl (3 years of BBs).

First, and minor, is that the auto text function in a BB is great, and while I really like swype, I think I was faster on routine texts with my kids (ie: "I'll pick you up at...") with my BB. But I also really like swype, so I rate this a minor plus to BB.

Second, and much more important: With my BB's, I could keep my phone locked, and still make and receive calls via bluetooth. I'm glad the droidx allows Bluetooth activated voice dialing, and I'm hoping, but doubtful, that Froyo will make it possible to do so while the phone is passcode protected. About 6 months ago I realized that if my phone was stolen I really wouldn't want another party having free reign to all my info...I still don't, but I like to get in my car and start calling. Turning the lock on and off is a pain, so I am back to no lock...Major plus to BB.

Everything else about the droidx I really like.
