Been on a Note since the Note4 - but the again, only have had 2 Notes the N4 and the N8. Skipped the N9 as my N8 is still great. That said - I am actually thinking of going with the Pixel 4 ... BUT I am keeping my options open. So, the Note10 is NOT a lock for me. ... but I'll miss the SPen ... and the waterproofing ... and ...
Just my 2cents in regards to your comment... the Pixel 4 will be alluring, but you might regret it.
I went from the Note9 to the Pixel 3XL this "gen" as I am kind of a google fanboy...
And I have actually gone BACK to the Note9.
Samsung's software has gotten less painful because of a couple things: There isn't that much good stuff in Android Q that will be annoying to wait for (waiting for the new android versions is usually the most painful thing about samsung) and Samsung's OneUI for Android P really isn't too bad this time around. And some little things that samsung offers in software is nice ("soundassistant" letting you easily switch which device is playing the audio when you are connected via bluetooth is really nice, and per-app volumes, etc)
Getting back onto samsung hardware from the pixel is SO nice. Little things add up. For instance - screen brightness. Pixel 3XL was not very usable outdoors, back onto the Note9 and its a lot better. Battery life is better (due to size alone I think, doubt that samsung's software is helping it) In-hand feel is better (just a tad narrower due to the curved screen edges. Doesn't seem like much, but getting your whole hand around the phone is helpful.
Anyways, I just think that samsung's hardware game is still a tier above what google puts out. Maybe that will change sometime.
Oh and I can't wait for the Note10. Might not be earth shattering but Sprint will let me send this (leased) Note9 back and get on a Note10 lease with no penalty (I'll pay whatever price diff there might be) so why not?
Would be AWESOME to get the rumored 5x zoom but it sounds like they might not do it :-(
