Anyone going for the Note 10?

When we get a bit nearer to the launch of the Note 10 I'll be able to pick up a 512gb/8gb Note 9 for 500 and probably get 350-400 for my Note 8 with all the accessories so that'll keep me happy until the Note 10 Pro is out and I'm due my discounted upgrade in November

The only thing that would have me consider upgrading my note 8 is a flat screen. For me, all the other
rumors talked about would not want me to spend a bunch of money again.

Exactly this! Can't stand the stupid curved edges of my N8. They look nice but serve no practical purpose for me and more often than not, cause frustration when writing with the S-pen near the sides.

I have an N8, and was thinking of going for the N10. But the more I hear, the less I want. Notification LED's going away, no ability to add memory, lack of headphone port, sketchy reports of the on screen fingerprint reader on the other 10's, etc. I was so hoping Sammy would continue to fight the fashion trends, and give customers what they want. But it looks like it's not to be. I've nicknamed it the iNote at this point.

Looks like an N9 is in my future, once the iNote drops and prices come down on them.

As much as I do want to upgrade from my 8 to the 10 I have decided to get the 9 instead and wait to see if a foldable Note will appear next year

Mine is set to Auto bright (Adaptive brightness)... Meaning ,living in S. Florida and especially now under the bright Florida sun, I have no doubt it is constantly pushed past it's max non-auto limit of 700+ nits and my screen is super bright and clear in the outdoors. No burn to date.

My 8 was a pre-order release and for first year I kept it at a Non-adaptive brightness setting of 47% and FHD+. I tried it at WQHD+ occasionally but never see any real difference so I put it back down I just to save the few % of battery life and less strain on panel. But after a year, I usually get less anal on my phones and I decided to leave Adaptive display on. It is a pain without it in Florida outdoors.

Almost two years old and no burn. Runs so well, to answer OP question, I could really go another year without a second thought with my 8. My coworker got a 9 at release and after a year I haven't seen him show me one thing on his 9 that makes me feel I'm really missed out on. The 10 leaks haven't shown me anything I'm dying to have either.

Maybe another year they do 90hz or 120hz panel and with the stereo speakers and 4000mah minimum battery and no notch/hole punch display like One Plus... Then I may be ready to upgrade.

Mine is auto. I never keep it very bright.

This seems a logical choice at this stage unless the leaks/rumors about Note 10+ are way out!
Note 9 and 8 for that matter are still decent phones, and at this point the upgrade seems barely worth it.

I've started to finally get some burn in on my Note 8 screen, thanks to long road trips and running Waze on the highways. Its not too bad, but its prompted me to start considering a replacement. I'll wait for hands on reviews of the Note 10, and check it out in person when its released. Depending on that, I might grab one or go for a Note 9.

Only full HD and 3500 mah battery on the "regular" Note 10?? I'll definitely keep my 8 over that. I really don't want a bigger phone like the plus so Note 10 is a no go. You get a better Sammy panel in then One Plus and probably better battery. Even then "cheaper" flagship should be better than the competition.

I can't go for bigger one either. 3500mah is not good after using my note 8. Battery size and head phone jack ( don't want one more charging device with wireless earbuds) are important for me to upgrade to note 10.

I think the Note 10 looks really sharp, from the leaks so far, and I really like the minimum bezels. I will be getting it.

Couldn't wait so ordered a Note 9 blue 8/512 today, decent price, 607 euros with free delivery, unlocked dual sim and new in box.
I'll still be looking at the 10 Plus/Pro in November when my contract is up and I can get an upgrade but this will do for now, might even consider the Fold instead or S11

Nope, they are too big for me! But with most smartphones, I'll follow its release and such. :)

Currently I plan to stay with it till it dies. The Note 8 cost me $1,000 and I'm not ready to lay out another $1K or more.
