Got mine yesterday after I did the 'checkin'. I cleared 'Google Framework Services' data and then did a *#*#checkin#*#* from the dialer (I read about this in one of the blogs).

I am in Canada with 'yakju' build and unlocked bootloader.

I'm in US on att with yajku that I just got from amazon. I was still on 4.0.1 until I did the Google framework trick. Had to do it 6 times before it worked but went straight to 4.0.4. Just go to settings/apps/all apps/Google framework. Clear it then go back to settings/about phone/system update. The date will say 1969. Click check now. Keep doing this until 4.0.4 pops. It will

I don't know which version of the phone I've got. As I said, I got the update at midnight so I speculated that it might be on the 3rd.

I'm with Three UK if that helps.

There's a simple app called GNOfficialupdate in Google play which will tell you which version you have

What is this "Google framework Services data"? And how exactly do you go about clearing it?

Framework is under all apps. Clearing it causes some gapps to fail right after. Nothing bad happens to the device

Settings->App->All Apps->Google Framework Services
There should be a button there to clear all data.

Then go to the phone dialler and punch in *#*#2432546#*#*
If done properly the above should disappear and you should get something like 'checkin success' as a notification in 10-20seconds.

Now go back and manually search for the update (Settings->About Phone->System Updates

If you still don't get the update try resetting the phone (this worked for me).

There was also this tip of advancing the phones date and then manually searching for the update.

Good Luck!

What is the size of your "Google Services Framework" data? and what exactly 'checkin success' mean?
