Yes, but only if you set Display view mode to Small.
However you will also lose Google Assistant since Google decided to only support it on "Phones".

Is that only in small view mode? I found in normal view that if I slide up from next to the button, GA pops up for me.

Yes, Google has stated that GA is not supported on tablets at this time. In small view mode this device identifies itself as a tablet. If you change between small and medium/large GA will come and go

No, it's not available with this update, unfortunately.

Just received the update notification, 2.4gb, 3 network UK... Downloading now

Took around 15 minutes all in to download and install, will try it for a while and give an honest opinion of how it works for me

Ironically, the only feature I can think of that I miss from Android N that I have on my S8+ is the double tap recents button to switch to the last app. Otherwise I am perfectly fine with M and Nova launcher.

It kinda sucks because I am used to it on my phone but when I do it on the Mediapad it just goes back to the same app..LOL

The official OTA update for Nougat/EMUI 5 showed up this morning. I just finished the install and all seems well. An app drawer is now available and if you set Display - > View Mode to Small, apps will run in tablet mode.

I've been meaning to ask.. What is the advantage to running in tablet mode? I really enjoy using GA, but am curious about what advantages there would be to running apps in tablet mode.

I've been in Colorado, Illinois, and Wisconsin over the past 4 days. When connected to WiFi in those locations I still haven't been able to pull down the update. Maybe they are doing it by serial number or something. I bought my tablet 6 or so weeks ago. So, maybe since it's so new I'm close to end of the rollout plan.

When I try to force with the app I see a B350 and a B351. Do I need to do B350 before B351? If I do B350 first can I not "force" B351 right after since that other thread says the app is not compatible with 5.0 which I'd then be on?
