Okay my journey started out with the XA. Two of them with bad software. Best buy offers me an even exchange for a step up to the X. 4 days later to today, the X touch screen stops working on the bottom part. I'm on my way to best buy now as they have been nice and now have offered me at no charge extra to exchange it for the X Performance. I thought the X was great. I'm sure I'll like performance even better. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with Sony's software? Did I just by chance get 3 bad phones or is Sony known for software interface issues? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm not sure what type of problems you experienced with the two devices, however, it seems like you had hardware issues with the screen not working.
If Best Buy is offering you an exchange at no additional costs, and the X Performance is the only option, then definitely make the jump. It's a higher (slightly) spec'd phone with water resistance. It does have it's own faults considering it's supposed to be a flagship device, and may not compare with other flagship offerings from let's say Samsung, LG, HTC, etc. There are reports of it overheating, camera being just OK (not flagship status), along with other slight nuances. If you are given the option to choose another device (e.g. S7) then consider going that route. If you are having to pay out of pocket then also consider an alternative since you'll get more for your money with another device.
