Anyone have a good experience with Anker portable chargers? Need immediate opinions.

Just charge it, u don't need to drain it really.

And u can use any usb cord you like, it doesn't matter, I rarely use the ones that came with it

I am not goona use the cables that comes with it, doesn't seem to be good quality. I am just going to drain all of it's battery first, just charged my dad's iPad 2 and my Galaxy S3 (partial charge, from 44 to 100%), still have around 5-25% charge on the portable battery charger (1 light indicating). I guess I will keep you guys updated once I returned my trip from China, if you guys are willing to wait for a month lol.

I purchased a 12k mAh black version that looks different. I haven't tried it yet, but going out of country myself this week so will post my findings and model at that time

Will I tried it on my trip to Jamaica and it failed miserably. I pre charged it to 4 full non blinking blue lights. When I attached any phone or device to charge it shows charging and within 1 minute it stops. I tried 3 different USB cables including the ones that came with it. I tried it on wife's DROID Incredible 2,my GS3, my Nexus 7, and son's DS USB cord I purchased to travel with. Not one worked out any of the 4 marked mAh. Just got back today and going to work on a return and refund plus bad review. I was so hoping this would work.

Hmm - so you connected the device that you wanted to charge and HELD DOWN the power button on the Anker for a few seconds until the lights started to blink (as opposed to just pressing the button once)? If I remember correctly (don't have it with me at the moment), if you press the power button once it just comes on briefly to show you the charge level - you have to hold the power button down for a few seconds to actually turn it on.

Chen Flynn, I already got the item, I am in China right now, every once a while I still use it. It works very well. Plus, the battery you listed is 10400 mAh, mines is 13000. That's 2600 mAh difference, or about one full charge for the galaxy s3.
