So was wondering have any of you Note owners got it only for screen size.... And not use the stylus?

I originally got it because of screen size and I was sick of iOS, but now I am using s pen more and really enjoying having it. Plus the battery life is so much better than that of the iPhone's.

Yeah, I switched from an iphone 3gs for the extra screen real estate. After about a month into my first Android experience, I must admit that if Apple ever releases a 5.5 inch screen, I'll go back in a heartbeat!

I got it for the large screen, fast processor, awesome long lasting battery, and for some samsung software features (such as blocking mode and the soon to come multitasking). I never use the S Pen but its nice to have if needed.

I'm looking to switch but don't really envision using the pen so I wanted to know if there were other people like me.

Thanks

The screen size is a major plus for the S Pen. It allows you to write without having to use a somewhat cramped workspace.

Handwriting is a pleasure on a larger screen.

Give android more time and you will likely change your mind. Check out different keyboards and other apps that you customize and you'll see what I mean. While I agree that iOS has a better selection of apps, android is so much better than iOS, it just takes some time.

The pen is alright, I just hate saving a pic yiu drew on because the resolution is terrible. Nobody seems to know how to fix this :(

I originally got it for the specs. Was going to get gs3. Now I love it because of the screen size and extra features like the spen which has been a lifesaver several times. My next upgrade will be a note 3 if it keeps same form factor.

I saw a rumor today that the new Note 3 is going to have a 6.5" oled screen.

I saw that... I'm a big guy and this one is still challenging to hold

That's what I want, with a 1080p screen. Then I'd have 1 device that does it all!

cmatthews,
You were right! Longer "learning curve" period for Android + several app issues have been resolved. I don't see myself ever returning to the "walled garden!"

I obtained the Note2 because of my eyes. I had some eye surgery, Cataracts repaired and high tech lens implants. My vision is 20/15 15/10 depending on light conditions. I needed the new GN2 display (non-pentile).
Whites, Blacks and Colors are fabulous. I also did it because of 5he feautures on the GN2.

same here, got hooked in because of the screen size. as a by product, started falling in favor with androidOS. however, i'd switch back to iOS if apple released a big screen phone because this is week 3 for me on the gn2, and it's been one problem after another (or having to locate an app to do something that iOS does natively). i could list all the problems i've experienced over three weeks of getting the gn2 to work right, but that would take too long here.
