Anyone have problems updating to Hangouts?

I have my HTC One and an S4 that installed Hangouts fine from the play web store.

I have a buddy's One and his won't install Hangouts. The play web store says it's installed, and the play android app says "Open".. any ideas how to get it to update?

I had an issue updating on my Note 2 I just uninstalled it via Titanium Backup and reinstalled it.

Google is rolling out the hangout update to everyone throughout the week. (Hangout replaces talk)

Don't know why I didn't think of this!! I uninstalled using ROM Tool Box and it worked.

You can try going to Google Play through a browser and send the update through play from a browser.

Hmmm......see if MyBackup allows you to uninstall the Talk app. Not sure if that's one of the features that's unlocked only if your rooted or not but it's worth a shot.

It wasn't working on my Nexus 4 when tying to do it from the play store on the phone. All it said was "open". How if fixed it was installing it from the play store on my laptop and choosing my Nexus 4. Not sure if this will work with other devices but its worth a shot.

Downloading from the Play Store worked for my HTC ONE. It wouldn't update from the phone either. All good now.

Solved it by simply restarting the phone.
