My Galaxy S2 was fine with reception. 2-3 bars in most places, but my GN2, in 90% of the places i go has only 0 - 1 bar or is roaming.

I've done every update possible and have tried every network configuration possible with the sprint techies on the line.

Sprint is sending me a replacement so i hope that does the trick.

Anyone else having these issues?

I personally have had no reception problems. I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but I'm sure (or at least hoping) it will be corrected soon.

That's odd... As I'd say I have better reception with my GN2 than with my GS3.

I haven't had any issues so far. I'm actually getting way better reception than I had with my NS4G.

Glad to hear this. I think i have a lemon. A new phone should fix it. I'd love to hear a few more.....

Thanks!!

my reception w/ my GN2 seems to be exactally as you said where my evo LTE would get 3-4 bars my note only gets like 1. and when im not in a wifi area it seems to get warm at the top up by the speaker and drain my battery much faster. when im in wifi coverage tho the battery seems to be beastly.

I have full bars and not near a wifi and I am in Ga.

I've been more than impressed with the GN2 reception. GF and I were just in the Orlando Amway Center for the recent Who concert. She has the GS3 and I have the GN2. Sitting up in the nosebleed section..I was uploading downloading etc and she was struggling to open up a webpage on the GS3.
It seems to get better reception everywhere here in Orlando. I did stay with the LJ1 modem when LJC update came out because of the great reception.

Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy Note? II.

i feel like my reception is not quite as good as it was on my EVO 4G LTE and when im in an area w/ poor reception and no wifi the battery goes much quicker.

I had the S2 and would roam constantly. Actually thought about not picking up the GN2, so glad I did though! The reception is ten times better on this then my S2. Glad to hear you are getting a replacement, it should be a lot better!

When I originally got the phone, I noticed the quality in signal was not that great. I found it was on CMDA/LTE; switched it to Automatic and it has vastly improved. I came from the original Epic 4G and it was definitely an improvement.

Waiting for LTE to drop in my area to see the full potential of this beast.
