Anyone heard what new phones will get lte reception?

I know that Verizon is supposed to start rolling out lte (4g) sometime this month. At least that's what the commercials I'm seeing say. Has anyone heard when we might see some android devices that can use 4g?

Never mind. I found a thread in the Carriers/Verizon forum section that said we wont be seeing any 4g devices until mid 2011, which probably means November.

Actually, several lines of evidence suggest we'll see LTE phones in late Q1.

The HTC LTE-compatible phone isn't expected out until May 2011. It's the only phone I've seen named so far.

latest rumor is a Nexus S on VZW in Feb w/ LTE.
If you believe rumors....that's a good one.

With the advent of the Nexus S, I would be willing to bet that the HTC Merge that has already found it's way to Phil's hands has been delayed for now so that it can be fitted with an LTE radio so that Verizon will have an LTE phone in Q1 that is not the Nexus S.

The sting of the 1st and 2nd "4G" Android devices being launched on the smaller Sprint and T-Mo networks is probably still in VZW and ATT's side. Since ATT was arguably the last to really join the Android ball game, I can't see Verizon slow-poking around for an LTE handset. I'll be surprised if Q1 2011 finishes without VZW launching or at the very least announcing an LTE handset.

Right now its looking like late 2011 Q1 launch and will be the HTC Incredible HD and the Merge
