Just curious. I have used both S and Note series before. Currently have pixel 3 xl as daily driver and OnePlus 6T as secondary.

Anyone came from Pixel 3 xl to S10 and never looked back? The 3 xl camera is what's holding me back.

Thanks for your feedback.

I've switched back and forth. The performance on the S10+ is better, as is the battery life. (by a lot) Screen on the S10 is better as well. The Pixel's camera is just a better all around camera, and the software is nicer. The S10 software isn't bad, just not as clean. The S10 camera is also pretty darn excellent, it just can't match the Pixel's processing.

Got them both like them for different reasons .

I switched from the iPhone XS to the Pixel 3a then to the S10+. I was in love with the Pixel until I felt the speed of the S10+. I tried to go back for Android Q Beta 3 but the speed of the S10+ just wouldn't let me stay for more than 8 hours. The 3a is now with its new owner. Lol

Interesting that both of you commenting that S10 has better speed and Performance than pixel 3 xl. Not what I expected.

It has a SD855 7nm chip the s10, not that pixel not fast but s10 is a beast in performance, I can imagine how the pixel 4 will be with that chip.

Both are good, but the s10 screen is better and the device has a more elegant in hand feel. Nothing beats that Samsung screen though, the display seems to pop out more if you know what I mean.

I use both....I don't see a noticable difference in performance but I've never sat there playing with both to see how fast things open. I have 512GB - 8GB model. It does keep more apps open in the background but the Pixel runs just fine. I don't need to keep everything running in the background so I don't see an issue. Side by side comparison the Pixel would lose but that's a no brainer.

I like Samsung Pay better because it works in more places.

I like the Pixel camera better but the S10+ is no slouch. The Samsung does have more cameras. I don't care about the telephoto and Pixel does a good job digitally but the wide cam is nice and I hope Pixel adds that to the 4XL.

Of course the main complaint about the S10s are the in screen FPS. It can be finicky but I have it working pretty good. Without a doubt the Pixel FPS is more reliable and not as sensitive to dry skin.

The 512 ceramic model is at a good price right now and it's much more durable than the glass back models. I think all phones should be ceramic instead of glass

I had a Pixel 3 XL for several months and I kinda wish I had it back. I love the build quality of my ceramic white S10+ but the battery life and the low light photos on the P3XL were better. I also prefer the capacitive fingerprint sensor on the P3XL over the ultrasonic on the S10+ just because the ultrasonic FPS doesn't work well with dry thumbs. Videos look better on the S10+'s display. There's also a lack of notch which is ideal.

I guess it comes down to what you value more--vanilla Android, superior low light photo camera, and capactitive fingerprint sensor on the P3XL, OR the versatility of the cameras on the S10+, the build quality, the superior display, and Samsung Pay.

My exact feelings after switching from the Pixel 3XL.
This S10+ kills the pixel in speed and display, but I have been not loving the S10+ camera quality so far. They're great in perfect lighting, but not so great anywhere else. Maybe I am just spoiled by the Pixel 3XL though.

No it's just the pixel camera that good .

Yeah, but I prefer the versatility of the S10+'s cameras. That wide angle lens is the best camera lens I've ever used. No joke. I use it more than I ever used the camera on the P3XL. I don't know why it took Samsung so long to come out with one. Yes, I know LG has had them for years, but who wants to own an LG phone?

I have both. I've been using the S10+ since it was released. It's nice. I only got the S10+ since it was the 10th Galaxy S device thinking that it was special. I will more than likely get the Pixel 4 XL if it doesn't have an obnoxious notch. I like Google's software better than Samsung's.

I am currently using the S10+. I just sold my Pixel 3XL a week ago.
I also have a Pixel 3a.

Samsung camera is very good in daylight and I find lots and lots of reasons to use all three lenses with my photography habits. Night time pictures are magic on the Pixel series though.

I like One UI and it is quite clean compared to TouchWiz of the past. And the battery life on the S10+ is stellar. Definitely a 36 hour charge cycle device.

I think either phone offers distinct advantages and the drawbacks are minimal so I do not think you can go wrong with either device.

I just got the 3a xl as a back up for my s10+ You hold and use the phone all day, so its hard to give up that s10 screen. I also prefer samsung pay over google pay. 3a xl camera is awesome and the phone will get regular updates for the next 3 years.

I'm surprised only one person mentioned One UI. I find that to be a serious game changer other than the screen, in favor of the S10+. The Samsung apps are really easy to use with one hand because of it. I'm not even using the stock launcher. I use Nova. But the phone app with everything at the bottom, the messages app, the settings. Everything is setup for easy use. Samsung took a crappy UI over Google and came up with one that has Samsung apps far superior to most of what's out there.

One UI is definitely a welcome over previous ones .
