Anyone holding on to their original Pixels?

Definitely keeping mine. Software is more important to me than hardware and this phone can't be beat. Theming with Andromeda is such a treat to use without root and it really gave the look something extra especially since I wasn't a huge fan of the white out everywhere

I'm upgrading. I handed the Nexus 6P to my son last year and he's having severe battery issues. My Pixel XL is still excellent, but he needs a new phone, and I can get a pretty 6P sweet trade-in from Google and taking advantage of the $325 from T-Mobile. Suddenly the 2 XL becomes $460. I have faith any problems will be fixed by Google.

I understand $950 (and really $1,015 after Florida taxes) is pretty steep for a phone which several reviewers have had some problems with. However (and this might be a rationalization), Samsung Note 7 is the worst case scenario in my mind and they made it right. I've got to believe Google will do the same if these issues end up being legitimately widespread.

I'll let you know how I fare. I may regret this decision, but my faith is in Google to get it right.

I'm a phone nerd/hobbyist so I usually upgrade every year whether its iPhone or Google branded phone and use them for daily drivers. The upgrade from the Nexus 5 to 6P was initially beneficial to me based on bigger screen and better camera. I started to get annoyed at the battery life and size of the phone (I thought it was on the big side, obviously smaller than the previous Nexus 6). Although more expensive, the Pixel XL fixed those issues and is still a 0 issue phone in my daily experience. My only nitpick on the Pixel is the low level headphone jack and ear piece audio output compared to iPhone which is same with every Nexus i've had.

During the google presentation I pre-ordered the Pixel XL 2 out of impulse with the trade in offer. Later that night I thoroughly thought about it, I really wanted a smaller phone with slimmer bezels and the regular Pixel 2 doesn't offer that. The Pixel XL 2 seemed nice, but it's still a bigger phone and is it really worth the $700+ upgrade? (XL2 128gb + preferred care + tax - $410 trade in) I have little to zero problems with my OG XL, I'll still get software updates, so I ended up cancelled my preorder the next morning. Now i'm really thankful I did. Let's see what next year brings.

Why wouldn't I? It works great, still looks great, and getting regular updates. I see no reason to give up my Pixel for an incremental upgrade. Plus it has a headphone jack. :P

I am keeping my original Pixel even if I get the Pixel 2.

Same here . . I don't sell or trade in phones, I'll keep them as spares and sometimes give them away when others need a temp replacement. That said though, I have no plans to upgrade to a new XL 2 and will instead keep my OG XL for another year at least as I have not had any issues with mine (including Bluetooth which works fine for me).

Keeping my Pixel ( sailfish) on one line
Already pre ordered the Pixel 2 XL Panda for the other line. But its not due til right before Thanksgiving

I also don't have Bluetooth problems. My XL deals with my watch (Samsung Gear S3), my headphones (Sony MDR-XB650BT), just fine. I'm starting to wonder if the folks that do have problems, if it's the devices they are having problem with not implementing something standard-ly (is that a word?).

On the waiting list for a P2 - unlocked - from Goolge Store - if/when it arrives - ;) - I'll keep the Pixel I have.
