Anyone in Canada buy a unlocked S7edge from Samsung website?

Looking for information on software updates and security updates. Have you gotten any? Are they frequent? Looking at buying unlocked but have not seen to many positive comments regarding this from different websites. Hoping people here can help with answering this. Thanks

I bought an unlocked S7E from NCIX. It was from the North Africa/Middle East region. I get updates, you just have check manually. I'm newish to Android so I'm not sure if this is the newest update, but I literally just installed it 30 min ago. BTW, I am in Edmonton and with TELUS.

Wow that must be new, I am on Telus as well and never received any OTA updates even if manually checked on a factory unlocked device in the past

I also have that same model the g935FD and i got the August update with the new gallery and Samsung cloud. I used to have the Canadian variant but I sold it and got the international one. Miles better plus it's guaranteed you ll get nougat months ahead of the g935w8

I'm jealous too. Last update I got from Rogers is for WiFi calling, security update is July.
