easy to get new number

have a galaxy a14.bought from walmart.never put a simm card in yet.obviuos never been activated,it must be used cause thers a name and a left over phone number listed.i'm thinking of getting mint mobile new plan that comes with a simm card. my question is can i put a new number on phone and is it going to be a problem ?

Welcome to Android Central forums. In general nothing you've mentioned should stop or prevent you from being able to take that device to another carrier. It is odd that your device had other information on it but I could see a discount carrier repackaging returned device that was in good condition. Not to say that is what happened, I don't have an explanation for that, but if you have access to the device and are able to set it up then you should also be able to take it to a new compatible carrier.
