Just installed 8.1. Google added the fix for the nav bar burn in issue. The nav bar dims or fades away slightly. Actually turns the nav bar buttons Grey on most screens. They also added picture in picture for Netflix. Similar to the way maps and YouTube picture in picture work. Haven't really seen many other differences yet.

Installed it at 3:00 AM today.

You can now get rid of persistent notifications - long-press on it and a toggle appears to disable it for that app.

I haven't received any updates yet and I am still on September patch. Am I only one with September security patch?

I haven't -- I am enjoying the Pixel 2 as is. I normally don't mind being in beta for things but since the phone is fresh and new I would rather stay bug free for awhile... you kno? Just sit back and enjoy the smooth / snappy phone that it is :D.

I'd be of the same thinking but there's one huge issue I'm interested to see if 8.1 fixes.

Wow. I just enrolled in the program and the 8.1.0 beta update is already downloading.

2 days, no issue's...Works with Arlo security cams, Kasa ,Tp link smart plugs and switches and every other app I tried to use. No crashes or bugs so far...

I did notice the colors are not washed out like before they must have had it more saturation

I found one issue. When connected to Bluetooth in my car(so far), haven't tested my headphones yet, while listening to music/podcasts through Bluetooth. And I get a call or make a call while the audio is still playing, my phone crashes, and Bluetooth disconnects. If I stop the audio first, then make a call, it works fine. I'm going to submit it to Google through the feedback on the phone.
UPDATE: turns out this was an issue with my car Bluetooth. Had to unpair and repair. Works perfect again.

I can confirm (via network mode app) that on AT&T VoLTE is now enabled. This phone just gets better!
