Anyone install 8.1 yet?

What's the easiest way to revert back? I'm about to install it.
As long as you install it by enrolling in the beta at android.com/beta and having the OTA pushed directly to you, all you need to do is unenroll and they'll push an OTA to you that will take you back to the latest stable release. Keep in mind that this will wipe your device.

This deserves highlighting...

I'm interested in this program too, my phone is running perfectly except for multiple BT connection not that big of a deal , I to would want to completely revert back if issues arise!

Beta builds tend to be broken for a while. I've gone down that road in the past. Not a good idea.
I don't know; I've done like the last three betas and now 8.1.0 and never had a problem of any real consequence.

8.1.0 working just fine on my Pixel 2 XL.

Everytime I've tried, everything seems cool until that one thing is broken and ruins the entire experience. Like an app that no longer functions, or Bluetooth malfunctioning where it previously worked perfectly. Or battery life dropping. There is always a problem or it would be final...not beta.

Incremental releases are usually far more stable. If we're talking about the early dev previews of O, yes there were problems all over. But I've been running 8.1 since Thursday with no problems whatsoever. Does that mean everyone will have the same experience? No. But, I would feel comfortable telling someone it's stable enough to run on your daily driver.

I have it installed on my Pixel C tablet, seems to work fine. But I won't have a beta OS on my phone. My phone is mission critical to me...

That tends to be a better testing ground. Tho past betas have had issues on my pixel C. It's also weird that they lag features on their own tablet. Did they finally add assistant.

Nope. Just Screen Search. Which is handy, but still no assistant, and I'll never understand why there's no fingerprint scanner.

I don't mind, I only use it at home, so it stays unlocked anyway.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the had a Pixel D tablet on the radar though...

The Pixel C was such a waste, like they didn't want anything to do with it from the day it came out.

I think pixel book is the only thing we're getting. I'll be getting one soon. I read you could actually use your pixel phone fingerprint scanner to unlock it. So that's a start.

It's a phenomenal device that, like the 2 XL, got heavily **** on at release. Which dampened sales and killed it before it had a chance. I use mine daily and love it.

I remember reviewers saying 'productivity' a lot and killing it in reviews. I love mine, best Android tablet there is still, but Google have done an awful job with it.

I use my Pixel C daily too, and I think it's the best Android tablet ever also. That's why I'd really love to see a new Tablet from Google.

Have you looked into pixel book. It runs Android apps. And if an app is portrait only, it runs windowed by default.

I really just want a tablet. I already have a Notebook, I use that for work. I use a tablet for sitting on the sofa, relaxing, or for sitting in that other room, you know, relaxing...
