I've been tired of buying phones from carriers because of their slow updates and bloatware. Does anyone know if the international V20 will be fully compatible with all T-Mobile bands? Also where can you gut the V20 unlocked/international unit?

Possibly. I'd have to see the full spec sheet for the international one.

My guess would be Amazon for purchasing. For domestic phones, I was always happy with T-Mobile models (G3 bootloader was unlocked, G4 was easily unlocked). I'm on Cricket now so not looking forward to meeting am AT&T model, but I feel like Android N brings enough to the table that root will become a distant memory to me.

I'm thinking of using something like 28mobile since so many tech youtubers have used to promote them

I don't think rooting works on most at&t androids anymore. I know that all the Galaxy phones since an update on the s6/s6e aren't rootable. Though I haven't had a non-samsung since the s6.
