Anyone know what the heck an EVO is?

What is the name supposed to mean or represent? I've noticed some review videos have referred to it as the E.V.O.(spelled out), but that's not much better.

+1 on the Evolution idea..Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is commonly referred to as the Evo..course it's debatable as to whether or not one would view this as an Evolution in cell phones, more so than just 4G

technically HTC's codename for the device is "Supersonic"..which I say both fit very aptly!
