Anyone leave the S8+ and went with the Note 8? Would you return?

I am curious how many Note 8 owners are coming from the S8+ and if you regret the move. If not, what really is better versus watching the endless YouTube videos....

It depends on what you want in a phone. I prefer the size and shape of the note. It feels better in my hand. The s pen does so much as well. The note 8 is definitely an upgrade for me.

I'm coming from the S8+. My Note 8 was just delivered a little while ago so I don't have any hands-on experience yet.

There's nothing wrong with the S8+ (or S8 for that matter as that's what my wife has). I was a former Note 7 owner and went back to my old S5 after the recall. I was originally trying to hold out for the Note 8, but after seeing the S8+ in person, I couldn't resist any longer and picked it up on launch day.

Another factor in upgrading was that I bought the S8+ from Best Buy and they were selling it for $100 off the retail price. The cost to pay off 50% of my S8+ to upgrade (Verizon) was only ~$180. Without that $100 from Best Buy, it's probably unlikely I would have upgraded because the buy-out would have been ~$280.

Coming from the S8+ - It's a fantastic device but I only went to the S line until the Note was reintroduced. I miss and need my S Pen.

My (and my husband's) S8 was not my first choice -- I wanted the Note 7 but alas it was not meant to be.

My husband and I both have Note 8's on the way.

it's not worth the upgrade, the galaxy 8 and the plus are the note without the dual cameras and the spen, both of which aren't an issue for me. my husband has his note 8 on preorder now coming from the s7edge

havent got my note8 yet, but i will on release day. i love my s8plus, but have missed my spen. im one of those 5 people that actually use the spen on a daily basis, so me to pass down my s8plus to a kid and get the note 8 makes sense.

It's all about setting your expectations before you buy. Last year I went from S7E to Note 7, not a major upgrade but I knew it going in. Today S8+ and later today Note 8, and I know that unicorns aren't going to dance nor will rainbows fly out the USB port, it's just a tiny bit bigger with an S Pen and that's what I wanted.

I just got my note 8 about an hour ago .. coming from s8 +
I'm a note user (get the new note every year)
was using the s8+ because of the note 7 fiasco ...
on my way to work now ...no time to set up the N8 ...Will do as soon as I get back home ...

No offense, and I know you have the right to your opinion, but nothing is even close to a Note without the S pen. So the S8 isn't the Note without the S pen, it's just the S8.

I found the S8+ too be too narrow. Its type only device I've ever had that I had to have a case on to comfortably hold it. The Note 8 being ever so slightly wider is great. I don't need a case anymore.

I have the S8+, keeping it and using my jump on Demand from the LG g6 to the Note 8. I will pickup my Note 8 at my ups store tomorrow night. I'm a very hardcore note fan so very doubtful I would go back to using 8+ over note 8

I moved up from an S8+. I'm a Note user since the Note 2. The S8+ was only a place holder until the Note 8 came out. Not a chance in the world I'd go back.

I'm on Sprint. Sprint got most out yesterday as well. Nice of that person to assume one would just be talking out their butt though.

I definitely like the Note 8 better. The S8+ was good but the N8 is great!
