Anyone leave the S8+ and went with the Note 8? Would you return?

I'm coming from the s8+ and I have no regrets. It will be cheaper for me and I had the note 4 and the note 2 previously. But the s8+ is a great phone.

I have no regrets either. The good thing about this phone is that if you came from the essay plus then there's really not much you can complain about because you're not having to learn how to operate a different kind of phone plus you get a bonus you get the pen and I love the live Messaging ! 🎵🎶

I'm a note kinda guy myself so yeah to me it's worth it. Guess it depends on if you use the S Pen a lot, I like the shape of it better as well. (I've only used it for about 10 hrs)

No regrets at all. The Note 8 was on my radar since the Note 7. The S8+ just got me out of the disastrous camera of the V20.

I bought in and ordered the Note 8 around 1 p.m. and selected overnight shipping from verizon. I will have in hand by tomorrow at my workplace. I am sending back my S8+ that had on a device payment plan and even got the verizon rep to consider it as if I had paid it off in full and was trading it in giving me 50% off the total price of the Note 8. Thanks everyone

Back in April I new I was going to get the Note 8 so I went with the S8 instead of the S8+ so I could save an extra $100.

Note 8 = S8+ with more features? Why would anyone regret?

Or do you mean regret spending the money and feel that the difference is not big?

I currently have the S8+, but have been tempted. Most Youtube videos say it's not worth the upgrade so I figure I can get the real knowledge on here.
I don't get why people pay attention to lame opinionated youtubers. Their main aim is to generate traffic. They strive to be say stuff to generate a controversy.

I personally buy what I want and could care less what some guy and a Web camera have to say about something.

I have the S8+ only because it has a SD card slot and my note 5 didn't, which was because i had to go back to that, and decided to get an S7 edge when they took back my 2nd Note 7... so I will be holding onto this or selling it, and will go pick up my preorder in store on the 13th/15th... lol

exactly

To be honest, and i've stated this many of times, having had each Note released... the Note is the Note.. it's never an S8 with more features or any iteration before hand with extra features... what it was, was a Note device, including an S-Pen stylus, but the design was based on that of the S series released before it... First Note, S 2, 2nd note, S 3, etc... each note was built based on the S series design, so many of the normal features are there, but with features that allow the Wacom (built) pen and the digitizer to make harmony together is kinda what sets it all aapart.

I'm a little off topic, but you won't go wrong if you get the Note 8, it's a device class of itself, and you wouldn't need to look back, maybe note what's on your side!

I have always been all about the Note and use the s-pen (love the big screens) I was using the S8+ while waiting for the Note 8, I have no worries. My N8 arrived yesterday and I got it setup fairly quickly. To me the S8+ and the Note 8 are so close in look/size/feel but the Note 8 has additional features that can only be had with an s-pen enabled device.

Cheers,
BR

I've had my Note 8 for 12 hours and already appreciate having the S-Pen again. On the other hand, a part of me worries this phone crossed a line in terms of size and weight. It makes the S8+ feel light and agile by comparison (i.e., just picking up the Note 8, you notice it's clunky heft). Only time will tell...

P.s., one strong positive is that Samsung seems like it's gotten it's transferring phones routine down much better. Almost painless and flawless
(Except you still have to reenter all your credit cards to the smartwatch, reactivate the ones for the phone, and reenter all your Bixby shortcuts (that's excusable since it's so new).)

I am curious how many Note 8 owners are coming from the S8+ and if you regret the move. If not, what really is better versus watching the endless YouTube videos....

I have both (paid retail) and love both but I don't see myself going back to my s8+ any time soon. I missed my note.

The Note absolutely crosses the size and weight line. Don't you remember the very first Note that came out? That's the point of the Note. That is why I love it.

no regrets but i do regret getting the 8+ instead of keeping my N5. Since i had th N7 twice, and Samsung is offering 50% off with trade In for N7 owners, I could have used the n5 for trade in. Verizon made me a good deal to upgrade to the n8 so I took it. I missed my note so was happy to get back to it. the
n8 is amazing. for some going from S8 to N8 is not worth the cost but if you at a Note user and went to the S8 after losing your N7 than yes it is worth it IMHO

I didn't feel it was worth the "upgrade" but I went for it and then I saw one at the store. i knew i made a good choice. It just feels much better to handle and the bonus stuff is a bonus 6gigs of ram, dual camera, pen.
