Anyone noticed Gear S3 battery life seriously degrading?

Bought my Gear S3 end of November 2016 and was able to have the watch last about 2 1/2 days to 3 days without charging (talking about non-workout days).
Now I barely get a day and haven't installed new apps or anything. I have restarted the watch severals time this week to virtually no effect on battery life. Could an app update on the watch be draining the battery? Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Have had my Gear S3 about 3 months Battery time is great I do charge it every 48hrs must be one of your apps using your battery time

I've noticed Spotify and S-Health are major battery drainers. If I have both running at the gym I lose 25+% of battery in an hour! Being out of LTE range also severely drains the battery. Tap on the "Battery" level icon under "About Gear" in the Gear app to review what is using your battery since last full charge.

Good luck!

I haven't experienced the problem you're having, but I've screwed things up enough to warrant a factory reset once or twice... Apart from that, the watch has developed problems on its own that were corrected with a soft reset.

A friend of mine has had his watch for almost 2 months now - with only bluetooth on, no wifi or any other tracking, the watch lasts more than 3 days. I feel it's a reaaally good deal compared to the Apple Watch.

I figured out what was wrong, it was part of another issue (mentioned in another thread). The watch was basically connected to the phone but a bug prevented it from using the phone's network. The watch was acting as standalone even after restarting it. After going into settings and manually turning off network and data then turning it back on again, im back to 2-3 days battery life.

Looks like this worked for me! For no apparent reason, my battery time fell to less than 24 hours a couple days ago, then to less than 12 hours yesterday, then down to less than 4 hours today. I was also getting "Gear is cooling down" message.

I did as suggested: Settings- Connections- Bluetooth On - Mobile Networks Auto On/Off - Wi-Fi auto.

After 3 hours, Gear S3 FrontierLTE reports still 100% battery. Will se how it goes overnight.

being an gear s3 newbie yesterday i got about 5 hrs battery life. lol. iv'e now made steps to improve that. not looking for 2 days, i full day would be nice :)...

UPDATE:

After the settings changes I noted above, it has now been about 19 hours since coming off the charger and battery is at 90%. I wear my Gear s3 at night and have it set to automatically monitor heart rate and sleep.

The Gear app estimates that at current usage rate, I have enough battery to go another 2 days and 11 hours. I will be happy with 1 day and 11 hours!

I have been experiencing this too. Can some clarify is the changes were made in Gear app or phone settings? I am having trouble following as noted. Thanks

Purchase about 3 months ago, average 2 1/2-3days, two days ago charged the watch to %100 at night took it off the charger no use and woke upto a dead 0 battery watch, recharged OK, a update before created a problem of draining but a restart worked to correct.

I had the same issue, suddenly just 24 hours of battery life. Shutting the watch down and booting again fixed it for me. I charged the watch 51 hours ago and still there is 53% of battery left!

Yeal there seems to be some fault app or what not sure that causes this problem/failure and a reboot resolves the issue

I gotta look at mines. Mines drain like crazy now. Doesn't even last a day :/

Will try the settings above and see what it does for me.

So I took mines off the charger. Looked at my settings (I wanna say took roughly 2mins) and it's now 97%. So something is up with mines.

Bluetooth off.
Mobile networks auto on/off.
Mobile data on.
Data roaming off.
Network mode LTE/3G (auto connect).
WiFi off.
NFC off.
Alerts on.
Airplane mode off.
Location off.
Brightness 7.

Battery high users were S Health (28%), Weather (17%), and Settings (17%). Turned off all the settings I could for S Health and Weather. We'll see how much better it helps

I've had to reset and reboot a couple of times since getting the watch on launch day. Usually I lose about 30% per day but when I travel it seems really drain the battery. Especially when I went in Canada. Despite having unlimited data I think the roaming was a problem.

Update:

Test:
89% at start
73% hour later. Watch sat there.
Restart Gear S3.
72% after.
72% hour later. Watch on, no usage.
58% hour 45 min later. Watch on, slight usage. Last min connected to phone via bt.

Looks better but still not remotely close to lasting more than a day like some. Hmmm....

Re: Anyone noticed Gear S3 battery life seriously degrading? Solved

I had the same issue with my gear s3 after recenet software update. This is how I solved it.

1.Reset your Gear S3
2.After Reset , Power off
3.Power on but this time -> Hold the Powerbutton untill it says "rebooting"
