I did order one yesterday. Ill post photos and a review once it arrives. i am hoping for a fast shipment / arrival time . i use my phone non stop for music and calls via bluetooth in my mazda 3 and this would be perfect for me when its in the car get charged so i can have it in plain view of everything with out any distraction having to grab the phone off the passanger seat next to me.
very excited to get this accessory.

I got one from ATT. I like our a lot. Fit is easy and I don't have any issues connecting the power cable when I place it in the cradle.

I'd probably use it a lot more if I could stream my music to my car stereo without it cutting out every few seconds

I connected it to my Evo 3D dock and it works and goes to dock mode right away. Just have to find an easy way to be able to hold it in place, obvious size difference between the two of course. Any ideas?

Is that the official car dock though? I was under the impression the official one will have connectors for the 5 connectors on the back of the phone to charge it rather than using the microUSB port?! This review doesnt have those on the pictures

those connectors i believe are going to be on the oem hox desktop dock.. the car dock works on micro usb. the positive side tho on the car dock is that the charge locks into place so everything aligns everytime you load it in the dock.

Can a slim case like the Seideio (sp) case bd used with this dock?

Fingers crossed that the Bluetooth streaming bug & others get resolved with updates. I like this accessory & it could work well for me.

Also, can the car mode desktop icons be changed or additional desktops be utilized?

For those that have used the car mode extensively, is there some setting to get the maps overlay on the home screen or has that functionality been removed?

I understand the car dock shown at MWC was not the final product but I really was looking forward to the maps overlay from the home screen instead of needing to launch navigator to see a map..

Silly question maybe. I got my wife a phone holder for the car and she put it in landscape. It does not automatically go to car mode and the screen stays in portrait. What is it with this car dock that will enable that feature?
