Anyone Own a Note 4 that Doesn't Crash/Reboot?

Just to add one more data point, I have a Verizon Note 4, never rooted, which I bought new in August 2015 and I have used it since them with a Samsung SD card. I still use the original battery, have accepted every update, and have never had a crash/reboot problem.

Another data point. I purchased mine in early 2015 new, I have always factory reset after every major OS upgrade (never after the security patches) and I think I've had it reboot unexpectedly maybe twice in the 2 years, 4 months that I have owned it. And one reboot was because the battery was going bad - $40 for a pair of Anker replacement batteries and it's been fine ever since. There's simply nothing on the market currently that tempts me away from this black slab of awesome.

I have a Verizon Note 4 bought about a month after the phone was released. Never rooted and I've done every update that has been pushed out never had a problem. I have bought a new Anker battery and I have factory reset after each major update. Cannot recall it ever rebooting on its own.

Think you meant KitKat, it was the OS the Note 4 launched with (never had Jelly Bean). :)

Myself I have three Verizon Note 4's and other than a bad battery no crash/reboot issues to speak of.

The first one is an original release that was on KitKat for 2 years before it was rooted and flashed with a stock Lollipop ROM (5.1.1). It's now a backup device.

Second Note 4 and current active one is about a year old and was immediately rooted and has been running the same stock Lollipop ROM mentioned above.

Third Note 4 is a 1.5 year old work device that came with Lollipop 5.0.1 then was updated to Lollipop 5.1.1 then Marshmallow 6.0.1 and then a few subsequent security patches. Only thing done with it in between are cache partition wipes. It works OK probably would run a bit better after a master factory reset. But being a work device I'm not gonna take the time to mess with it.

None of them have/use a SD card (other than was needed to root the two personal ones).

On all three I've gone through and disabled any unneeded apps and have only installed the absolute minimum number of third party ones (to keep things lean and mean).

Ultimately I have no clue why some experience the issue while others do not.

Getting my Fourth Galaxy Note 4 as an insurance/warranty replacement.
Hopefully, the Fourth will be the one to keep?
We shall see how it goes.

Well, Looks like fourth Galaxy Note 4 is a Champ!
I have put it thru every conceivable app that made the other three go into Crash/Reboots.
All is well to put the larger question in why Marshmallow update makes a percentage of what seems normal Note 4's fail with update, but not prior iterations of Android?
Is it a quality issue with Note 4's???
I know picture quality was different of each Note 4 I owned???
So all Note 4's are not made the same?
Who knows?
I'm just happy this one works reliably.

Hard to say - maybe you just got a long bad string of luck. In any case, glad you found one that is serving you well!

So far so good!
Knock on wood!
Not that I'm superstitious?
This GN$ has been the best out of all of them.
Same apps, same SD card, same battery.
Lightening Fast!
BT radio also has better range.
WiFi is about same.
Battery life is phenomenal!
I'm so glad my Note last the entire day without three to four trips to the charger.
I was getting horid battery life before,
Now feels normal before the Update madness.
I hope by writing this I didn't jinx it?

If I did... anyone know a good Witch Doctor?

Verizon N4 for 2 plus years. Never rebooted or crashed. Recently replaced due to a bad home button. Best phone I have owned.
Will upgrade to note 8… whatever it is!

Still have my Verizon N4 but it's not my daily device, I haven't had issues with it, possibly best phone I've ever owned.
