Anyone plan on picking this up or already have it?

Will do. I will post a full breakdown.

Right now, what I am trying to find out is this. I know it ships with Bing Search and Bing Maps as the defaults for search and navigation. But can I download Google Search and Google Navigation from the Android Market and have it work?

Some say yes, some say no online.

I hope you got a full answer to your question. If not, yes you can download google maps and google search and they work just fine. Both are available through the Android market as a free download. I have a shortcut to Google search on my main home page and a shortcut to Navigation on a page I created for app shortcuts.

You can use speech to enter text in both apps, it doesn't default to Bing and the times I have tried it, it works well.

I have had my Vortex since early January and I'm very pleased with it. I had upgraded from a Palm Centro which I used for the PDA functions as well as the phone functions. With the addition of a notepad app, the Vortex works equally as well as the Centro did. :)

I have the LG Vortex from Verizon, and i have to say it is a nice phone, however the only thing that i do not care for is the low internal memory it has, 184MB is way to low for this day and age. I ended up rooting my phone to get rid of the bloatware that VZ installed on it just to have room for the apps i want on it. Other than that i love it, response times are generally fast, wish there was a way to increase the internal memory but it is what it is.......
