anyone prefer stock Samsung keyboard over SwiftKey keyboard?

Between the two, I prefer the stock keyboard. But, after trying them all, I found ai. Keyboard and haven't looked back.

Based on the above responses(100% love for SwiftKey), am I correct in assuming that most Note 3 owners don't bother using the stylus for handwriting? That's the number one reason I have the phone....

I use my S pen most of the time and Swiftkey works great with it. The trick is to not cover the phone's glass or cover it with a tempered glass screen that has a very slick outer surface. I use the second option, i.e., a slick surfaced tempered glass screen protector.

Swiftkey does not include handwriting recognition, which is what the post you responded to was about. It has nothing to do with a screen protector.

I've used the stock keyboard since day 1. It works well and looks good. I've always thought swift key was fairly overrated.... used swype on my previous devices.

exactly what I was thinking... I have used SwiftKey on my other phones(Moto and HTC)

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3's stock keyboard is already so good... installing SwiftKey just
seem redundant to me. :) (as in... my current girlfriend is so hot, I just realized that I have
stopped staring at random cute girls on the street... even when one did a nipslip 3 feet
in front of me week ago... no interest at all... don't know if this is a good or bad thing)

The deal breaker for me is that SwiftKey does not have handwriting recognition, so I use stock. Until the update today SwiftKey also did not have the number row up top which was another big plus for the stock keyboard. But the lack of handwriting makes SwiftKey unusable for me with the Note 3.

If you place the cursor in the text field with the S pen, the Note 3 will open a hand writing window for input no matter what the keyboard.

That's only true in certain places. There are many places direct pen input does not work. If I was using swiftkey I'd have to be switching keyboards 50-100 times a day.
