Anyone received the October update yet?

Getting it now. Verizon Pixel 3XL. Hopefully there is improvement for the low signal issue I've had some last months update.
Unlikely unless it's known issue and by that I don't mean known on the internet. I mean an issue documented by Google

Well, it is documented as a bug report on Google's site, but I don't know what that really means. Anyway, on Verizon the size was only 4.3 mb, so I don't think it would include anything too big.

Whatever happened to the whole concept of Google making it to where when you hit the "check for update* button you actually get an update? I never get monthly security updates in a timely manner. Usually after a few days I get impatient and just end up side loading it.

Just got mine and even though it's a small file, took a while to install.

Now I'm seeing false full signal. Just went from 1 bar to full 5 bars back to 1 bar. Oh well

Side loaded it earlier today. But wont know if it helps the Verizon signal issue till I get home later today.

It has to go beyond bug report before they'll do anything

I like my service provider because they don't do much of anything except provide me with a data signal. I got the update and, as usual, it does nothing noticeable.

I rarely have any trouble with updates, and this one went very smoothly too. I love the features and everything about Android 10..... except in what were weaker signal areas before the update I now get zero bars and crawling data speeds now. This is mostly at my home. Almost everywhere else I go I always had a strong signal and I still don't have a problem. It just seems that in marginal areas it is worse than before. I never drop calls though as some are saying.

I like things that work well..... and when they work well I like them to keep on working well, so I'm not a big fan of "improvements" that bring more problems with them.....to me that's not an improvement.

I know Google needs a shiny new os every year to keep people excited and buying, and of course folks don't care if the new os is really an improvement over the old or not as long as it's new.

I would personally prefer Google took a little more time on polishing up an os for release, but then I don't require constant "new" to keep me buying. I'm happy to have a phone that does everything a phone should do reliably, without constant fiddling from Google or the phone maker.

You probably hit the nail on the head. Possibly fringe areas are more affected by the update, unless someone finds that's not the case.

Got it last night. Despite saying it was 4.3MB, it took about 45min to install and update my apps.

T-Mobile here, still no update. Usually several days behind which sucks because I've had lots of audio bugs since the mid month update in September.
