anyone returning the Droid X for the Droid2

I've had some mixed success with the DX phone until I got the settings right. My biggest (only) complaint is that is takes so long between the time you press the button and when the picture is taken. Drives me crazy.

As for pic quality, it is fine for my purposes and fairly good, especially for a phone. However, I agree it isn't up to the level of the digital cameras. I would suspect that will take another year or two.

Wait til you get froyo. Huge improvement! I'm running the leaked version on my x. And it now has the touch button on the screen. Way faster and clearer pictures using it that way versus the physical button.

The biggest reason I am exchanging the D2 for the X is because the keyboard is a wash for me. I dont like the feel of it and I never use it. So I might as well lose the keyboard and get a bigger screen and better mp cam.

Just my opinion though

Yep, the keyboard is pretty much the only reason to pick up a D2 over the X. My friend prefers the keyboard (even though her past phone was the Storm 1), so she got the D2 and she loves it. Personal preference.

i got rid of the droid one originally because i never used the keyboard.

with the x i get a thin, light phone with a huge screen. perfect for now.

i just wish it had a sim slot in it as well. i would consider swapping my x for a global version of it if they made it. the droid pro (having a keyboard) is not for me.

Honestly if the Droid 2 had a bigger screen (maybe 4 in.) The same quality camera as the X and a nice feeling keyboard then I most likely pick that. But then again with those specs Im probably looking at the droid pro lol.

from what i hear the droid pro will be identical to the d2. they're just adding in the gsm radio(s) and a sim slot.

Heresy! Switch to a dumpy keyboard, and tiny screen. Cant even believe this is a question.

A 3.7 inch screen is far from tiny. It's just that we're spoiled by the X's 4.3 inch screen that anything smaller feels inferior. That said, I'd never give up my X for a D2 because I prefer a full touchscreen without a slider.
