Anyone run into this before?

I did a thorough search of the TB forums and couldn't find any cases of this. One day I woke up and the TB randomly had tons of leakage in the LED screen. It looks like the night sky with a ton of constellations of white all over the place. Is this a common screen problem? Never seen this before.

No thats not common. If you have light leakage from day one then you'll have it for evey, but it shouldnt grow. I would take it back and complain. If its as bad as you believe then they should give ua new one.

Yeah I would take it back, sounds like an individual phone issue that should be covered under warranty.
