Anyone successful at connecting a Gear S3 Frontier with Galaxy Express 3 (J120A)

My phone can see and pair with the S3 manually, but the GEAR app on my phone can't see it. I tried using the Android Ware app on my phone and it sees and pairs but hangs while its checking for updates and the S3 times out saying it's taking longer than expected. The watch was a birthday present ordered from Amazon and I'd hate to return it. Any help greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately your phone only has 1 GB of RAM and it requires a minimum of 1.5 GB ram to work so that's why it's not working for you. Time for a new phone?
