Questions from an Android virgin.....
Is there a web-based texting app, similar to Apple's imessage? Or do Android users message through their provider?
I have an preloaded app called Google Play. Is that the primary app store for Android apps? I hear people mention the Amazon Marketplace. But I don't see that app on my phone.
Is there a way to save a picture to your gallery from the web or FAcebook? Or take a screenshot?
There are tons of excellent web-based texting app, from Google Hangouts, Whatsapp, Line, BBM, or even web-based SMS app such as Go SMS.
Google Play is like Appstore. Google play comes pre-installed in the Android ecosystem, so all android phones already have one when you buy the phone.
Amazon Marketplace is used for Amazon devices only and it uses Fire OS, which is a mobile OS based on android, but it is not android.
As soon as you take a picture, on the top of the photo that you've just taken automatically there appear symbol to share or save which lists all social media/google drive/drop box/etc that are installed in your Note 3.
For Note 3, you can take screenshot by swiping the screen with the side of your palm from one side to another, or you can use S Pen, just take out s pen, press the button, and get it near the screen.
