Anyone switched to Note 3 from iphone?

This is my first Android device. I had all iphones until my Note 3. I have no plans on going back to the iphone.

My first Android device too, but to be honest it's taking me ages to get my head round how everything works (which is my problem not that of androids) so if I could get some of the ?649 back at the minute I would probably take it to be honest. Love the phone especially the outstanding battery life just taking a whole to get used to the different os

You have a community to help with the learning curve. The Note 3 is a powerhouse in terms of handling apps and multitasking. Then having Android OS giving the ability to customize what you so fit.

I use the Google Play Music app for my music. I pay 7.99 a month which I bill to my Verizon bill and I get unlimited music. I can't imagine being without this app. Every artist or song new or old is there and all I have to do is hit Add To My Library. Also very easy to create your own plsylists and organize!!

I don't use iPhone but my brother and many colleagues/friends do.
I like watching them mesmerized by the Note 3 screen, and even such simple thing such my live full HD Koi fish pond wallpaper made them astonished.

Questions from an Android virgin.....

Is there a web-based texting app, similar to Apple's imessage? Or do Android users message through their provider?

I have an preloaded app called Google Play. Is that the primary app store for Android apps? I hear people mention the Amazon Marketplace. But I don't see that app on my phone.

Is there a way to save a picture to your gallery from the web or FAcebook? Or take a screenshot?

There are tons of excellent web-based texting app, from Google Hangouts, Whatsapp, Line, BBM, or even web-based SMS app such as Go SMS.

Google Play is like Appstore. Google play comes pre-installed in the Android ecosystem, so all android phones already have one when you buy the phone.

Amazon Marketplace is used for Amazon devices only and it uses Fire OS, which is a mobile OS based on android, but it is not android.

As soon as you take a picture, on the top of the photo that you've just taken automatically there appear symbol to share or save which lists all social media/google drive/drop box/etc that are installed in your Note 3.

For Note 3, you can take screenshot by swiping the screen with the side of your palm from one side to another, or you can use S Pen, just take out s pen, press the button, and get it near the screen.
