There's 2 main things I can spot right away that will deter S6 owners: The display is TFT LCD instead of the much better but more power hungry IPS LCD. There's no OIS in the camera. OTOH the battery life may prove to be better and besides the obvious price difference, getting the Pure Edition would also mean less carrier interference, less bloatware, faster updates

They've come a long way since last year but s6 I suspect will still perform better and have a better camera. Maybe next year.

This will be the first Moto X I don't buy. Its just too big for me to use one handed. Really disappointing for me since the last two have been two of my favorite phones.

Highly unlikely and I'm not really convinced the battery will be much better. No real reason I see, unless you must have stock Android and really crave some Moto-Maker customization. Then there's that Sammy event in a couple of weeks that will probably make this device even more forgettable.

I'm more swayed by the OP2 but S6 is still much better than both

Based on the size, camera, etc, nope.

In my experience, moto has never delivered on the camera. I love the radios however. I do not like the size of the nexus 6 but Phil says this new device is noticably more narrow so I will wait to see more but like my S6 and S6 active pretty well. Love the smaller size and superb screen and of course camera!

I am hoping the camera will work well like they say (we shall see) -- Everything else sounds great. I may be dropping my G4 for it.. :p.

I think it is a great device, but too big for me. Also, front-facing fingerprint reader and wireless charging (it may have that) are two of my new requirements.

Plus, I'm still happy with my S6 honestly.
