It is possible that the Amazon app may do it's own monitoring of which apps get installed etc. (i.e. over what Google Play may already be doing). So in that sense it could be a minor impact.

So this is a legitimate question to ask.

Thank you...it was "tongue in cheek" to say "tainted" but I really have held off on installing the Amazon app store because of what it may do at the OS level. Good replies thus far...
