Anyone tested their 4G SPEEDS on the S3?

Why does speedtest keep picking a server in Kansas as the closest server to me over 3G? I live in NY.

It's choosing that server because Verizon has assigned you an IP address from a range allocated from their servers there.

There is a clause in the contract which specifically states any systematized transmission indicating a possible intelligent origin must be investigated. --Ash

I get around 15 down and 7 up when I am outdoors (the best ive done outdoors is 27 down 15 up) but when indoors it's almost always 5 down 5 up, i have never gotten above 7 down indoors at home or work. Still pretty darn fast!

I was able to get 34 down bad 11 up last night at my house. I have not been able to get that high if of a download on my thunderbolt for awhile now. My signal strength sevens good too.

Because it's getting your location from your mobile IP since it hasn't locked on to your device's location with GPS. Mine does the same every now and then. When I tether, my other devices think I'm in Kansas.

I have seen over 60mbps on my rezound.

Speed tests between the rezound and s3 are pretty close for me.

I'm getting 15 down, 15 up at home with a ping at about 100ms.

I'm not getting jack at work though.
