Anyone tried the ROCK Dot View for M9??

Looks pretty cool and may have a little more protection than the original. I don't have one but can't see why all the functions wouldn't work it's just a magnet that activates it.

Anyone bought this dot view cover with transparent front??
If yes is it better than the original HTC Dot View?
Can you use all the functions of the Dot View app?
Amazon.com: Eallc HTC One (M9) case--Rock New Ultralight and Ultrathin HTC Hc M100 Stealth View Sleep Smart Flip Case / Cover for Lastest HTC One (M9) & Us Free Delivery (Rock htc one m9 Dot view Gold): Cell Phones & Accessories

I have the HTC Dot View Ice. I don't really like it for daily use. It's cool looking and nicely built, but it's annoying to use with the back flipped around. Typing is uncomfortable. I still put it on occasionally to show it off, but function wins over form for me using this case.

I do the same thing. I use it when going out but for work and everyday use I put it in an otterbox defender case.

Yes I remember when I had the Dot View on M8, it's the same with all flip covers.
I personally don't like covers at all, the M9 is so gorgeous it's a shame to hide it in plastic, but a flip cover protects it well including the screen.
The M7 I had got scratches on the screen very easily and micro dents, while the M8 had a robust screen but hairline scratches on the back.
I didn't like the Ice version at all, the back transparent makes it cheap like a 3$ TPU case, the spigen borders are so thick that it makes the phone looks like a sandwich, so it's either the Dot View (not Ice) from HTC or the Rock DR.V

I don't like cases either. For daily use it try to find the thinnest clear case I can. Right now I'm using the HTC Clear Shield. It's the closest to naked I could find. I really like it. Sure it gets scratches on the back, but I'd rather have that than a scratched phone.

Can you post pics with the cover?
Is it easy to put it on and take out? When in car I stick the M9 on a sticky pad as the metal back is perfect to ''glue'' on the dashboard, so I need a cover which is easy to put on and take out everytime I go driving.

Of the Clear Shield? I'll post some tomorrow. Got off work this morning at 7:30 AM. Have to be back at 3:30 this afternoon.

I got the Rock Dot View, it's a very cool cover but it doesn't close by itself and it's hard to get the phone out the case!
So I am now trying to choose between the Clear Shield and the normal Dot View (not Ice)

Thanks bro!
Not bad at all this cover!!
It's exactly like the ICe Dot view back part :)
Do you use any screen protection?
No. I don't usually keep them on long, so I haven't bothered picking one up. The only draw back is the case doesn't have a lip if you like to sit your phone screen down. I love it though. Fits great! The buttons give a solid press instead of the click with no case.

Thanks for the feedback.
The only advantage of the Ice dot view is that it protect the screen too, sometimes people disrespectfully for your phone will put things on your screen, it happens a lot in my gym place, that's why I put my M9 in the Rock cover but your cover is better as it's not hard to take the phone out (which I do every-time I get in the car to stick my phone on the sticky pad)
The price is very attractive too, it's now about 12$ while the Ice Dot view is in the 29$

To be honest I didn't really like my Dot View very much. I didn't think the magnetic closure was strong enough, and using the phone was uncomfortable with the flap behind it. Don't get me wrong, it looked really nice, but function won over form for me.

You have the normal or Ice dot view?

I have the Ice. It's a nice case. Just couldn't get used to having the front behind it when texting especially.

Ok I know the feeling :)
I think I am gonna buy the Clear Shield then

I don't think you'll be disappointed in it. It's my favorite case I've found. I haven't once accidentally pressed a volume button instead of power or vice versa since getting it.

Oh, by the way, where are you finding the Clear Shield for $12?
