Anyone Try Using The "Sport" Action Mode On There Camera?

Mine is ALL BAD now since 2.2. The phone starts to vibrate then an error message comes up. Then after that when the phone goes into the sleep mode the phone wont wake up only the bottom keys come on and you have to do a battery pull.

I havent, but I did that for my husband's phone because he was having tons of issues. Even today after reformatting his sd card his txt msgs quit working and he had to pull the battery. So far , this and the crappy 720p video recording are my main issues..

This happens to me when 1) my original battery is in the 20's percent of charge remaining, and 2) when I have one of the cheap replacement batteries installed and they are in the 40 or 50 percent charge range.
The only thing I can do is pull the battery, and either charge up the installed battery or replace with a fully charged one.
It will do this regardless of which mode the camera is in. The Sport Mode has a quick shutter speed, so it probably draws more juice when applied. My sisters Epic does the same thing with the same charge levels as mine. Don't know if this helps, but I just placed it in the phones personality quirk column.

I even did a master reset and its still screwed up.

When I try to use sports mode it just makes me FC the camera. All other modes work. I'm running rooted (and heavily rommed) dk28, and figured it was just a result of something I did/deleted.

Running stock EB13. Sports mode force closes every time for me. The video camera quality is horrendous now.

i have the same problem with the camera in Sports mode and my screen not turning on when waking the phone except for the bottom keys, its so annoying

Mine is screwy too. Tried it twice. Second time, the screen wouldn't go to sleep. Then, when it finally did, it wouldn't wake up until I soft reset the phone using Volume Up + Camera + Power/Standby. W...T...F...

Formatting the SD card as mentioned in other posts, will NOT correct this problem, btw.

There is now a modified kernel out for those who have rooted that resolves the camera fc's with Sports mode and also fixes the video lag.

EB13 camera video lag & sports mode FC fix - xda developers (Other than the patches this is the stock kernel)

You can also try the latest Genocide kernel for an overclock and undervolt (better battery life) that has the Camera fc/video lag fix baked in.
